Foodbank – open Mondays and Fridays at the Church Centre 1015 am till noon for donations. Call the helpline if you want to know what’s needed.
Easter Eggs – We’re hoping to have sufficient Easter eggs for every child in the Parish We’ve had a number of generous donations, including one from the Burbage News but we don’t want to run out so we’ll continue to welcome donations.
Careless Talk Costs Lives – It’s good that the schools are back but see the note below from Wiltshire Council. Parents, please do not gather to chat outside school or on Eastcourt. Covid-19 hasn’t gone away.
Ram Alley Road Closure – see attached. The road will be closed for up to five days from Monday 15th March 2021 to allow Wiltshire Council to remove low hanging vegetation.
Playground Closure – A reminder that we will be closing the play area adjacent to Seymour Court after Easter so that we can replace play equipment. The area will close on 19th April.
National Census – It takes place as at Sunday 21st March and every household must complete the survey. A couple of short films have been made:
Parish Elections in May – A reminder that parish councillors will be elected in May. Burbage Parish is entitled to thirteen but we never seem to have enough people serving on the council. The closing date for applications is 8th April – See Wiltshire Council website for details.

Burbage Helpline/Foodbank – Call 810853 and speak to Glenda. The foodbank is remains open for donations Mondays and Fridays 1015 am till noon.
Easter Eggs – We hope to have enough eggs for all the children in the Parish but, again, we would welcome your donations to the foodbank.
Face Masks – The last few of the spring collection can be purchased from Glenda at the Church Centre (£5 each). Masks are double layer, non medical and washable/reusable. All income is going to Charity.

Wiltshire COVID-19 cases (as of Monday 18 January 2021)
Recent GOV.UK data has shown that the rate of transmission is starting to drop in Wiltshire, so thank you to all those who have been playing their part in following the guidance and spirit of the national lockdown.
Despite a slowing of infection rates you will have seen national and local news reports on hospitals struggling with massive demand on beds and services. This is why it’s more important than ever to continue our efforts to keep following the guidance.
Be alert to these fraudulent methods.

More good news... We have now vaccinated all those over 80 including those who are housebound. We have also contacted and booked all patients from Priority group 3 (who are 75 years old and over).
We are waiting for the go ahead to offer vaccines to the next group 4 (Clinically extremely vulnerable and over 70s) We will be in touch as soon as we can....
