Welcome! Many of you may have seen our family (TeamRodg) out cycling in and around the village and I wanted to let you know what Anya, our amazing 7 year old daughter is doing to raise money for the NHS! Since lockdown started, Anya came up with the idea of virtually cycling to all of her family and friends around the country by using our family exercise time to cycle every day! Having seen some of the fundraising going on, she asked if she could somehow raise money for the NHS too! So we set up this fund, which has already raised £243 in donations! You can donate via our JustGiving page:
Generally we cycle around the village, or to the Beam Engines, the Windmill and even to Bedwyn when we have the time but she has also cycled to Savernake and along the canal. What a great place to explore on a bicycle, we are very fortunate to live here! She created a great little book and map and has even done some youtube videos to promote what she is doing!
Anya has already "visited" Nanny & Grandad's house (and shared a cup of tea over skype!), 93 miles away and is well on her way to Granny and Grandpa's house (another 108 miles!) Her target if she manages to visit all of her family is a massive 400 miles - ( We are now into week 6 and she has cycled 170 miles!). TeamRodg is:
Anya (7, chief inspiration) Dad (Grant Rodgers, chief photographer, snack provider and mechanical support), Mum (Julie Rodgers, chief co-ordinator and small person carrier) and Ember (2, chief supporter (and sometime sleeper) on the back of Mummy's bike!)

Julie RodgersAt the start of Lockdown Anya, 7, decided that she wanted to virtually visit all her friends and family since she knew she would really miss them! So, as a family, we started to use our daily exercise time to cycle (luckily we have some beautiful surroundings!) and kept a note of how far she got! Archives
